Jennifer McGarigle,
39, floral designer, furniture
designer, and owner of Floral
Art in Los Angeles, a flower
boutique and design studio.
HER PERSONALITY
“I’m a driven, passionate
person, and I really enjoy
what I do. I even dream of
flowers. Some of my
arrangements, and especially
my floral-print furniture and
home accessories, are the
direct result of those dreams.”
EARLY BLOOM ER
“From age 5, I’ve loved
flowers. I even tried to craft
*
perfume from crushed rose
petals as a child. As a young
adult I knew that working at a
flower shop would be the
right part-time j ob for
me—and it became my entrée
into this industry.”

o W ER ARRANGING
“Ifyou’re working with a
mixed bouquet, divvy it up by
color, or place all the blooms
at the same height. Flowers
become patterns when you
group them and simplify their
cut or hue. For example,
- carnations look like a
beautiful ruffle bundled
tightly together.”
HER PERSONAL STYLE
“Jeans and T-shirts are my
day-to-day wear, often with
a ponytail or pigtails—I’m
very low-maintenance.”
TH E CUTE C O M PA N IO N
“My adorable pug, Daisy—I
treasure her.”
“You’ll always
find friends
over at my
house—I .love
entertaining: I
w pots of
tros
on my deck just
so I can cut a
few at a
moment’s
notice to adorn
my home.”
